Loki Producer Hypes Up Ravonna Renslayer's Bigger Role in Season 2

Ravonna Renslayer was notably absent during the second season premiere of Loki although she was mentioned a couple of times as the remaining TVA officials were figuring out where she went to following the events of the first season finale.

So far, they haven't addressed Renslayer's current whereabouts, but the brief shots of her in the trailers suggest that she is likely traveling to different timelines as part of her search for free well.

Given that she was absent from the premiere episode and didn't have a lot of appearances in the trailers, fans are wondering whether she still has a significant role in the new season.

Now, one of the producers of the series has addressed what's next for Renslayer in the series and it looks like we can still look forward to seeing more of her.

Ravonna Renslayer's Role in Loki Season 2 Teased by Producer

Speaking with Variety, Loki executive producer Kevin Wright opened up about their decision to focus more on the characters within the TVA and explore the organization even further.

"Because that felt like where so much of our core character conflict was going to come from. There was so much intersectionality of our characters and what they think of the TVA. Sylvie wants to burn it down because the apple is rotten, as she says," he said.

"Loki sees it as potentially the only form of defense against whatever else is coming in a war with Kang. Mobius and B-15, they’ve dedicated their whole life to it. They’re not quite ready to give it up."

Wright alluded that Renslayer will have a bigger role in the storyline of the new season since she will be the key to "keeping it together" and we will learn more about why she could be the solution.

He added, "Renslayer feels like she’s been keeping it together, and you get a real understanding of why she thinks she should be the one to get this thing back on track."

Despite the character's absence in the second season premiere, it looks like Renslayer will be a key figure for the rest of the season and it is exciting to see how she will eventually play out when we see her return again.

We also know that the character has a close relationship with Miss Minutes and perhaps with He Who Remains as well which makes her standing in the story more interesting.
