Loki is back with a featurette of his character's backstory told in just half a minute which seems quite a challenge and the God of Mischief seems a little out of time in his storytelling that he needed a few more seconds to pull it off. Tom Hiddleston is just so charming as he encourages everyone to know more about Loki in his upcoming series on Disney+.
As funny as the fast-tracked storytelling of Loki's journey in the MCU, it also features an extremely important element in the highly-anticipated series of everyone's favorite villain-turned-hero – time. In the featurette, Tom Hiddleston summarized Loki's moments throughout various films he appeared on and he is on a crunch as he tells it in just 30 seconds. By the end of the video, he has to pause time by waving his hand to finish his story buying him a few more seconds. Intriguing, isn't it?
He also mentioned that Loki "got a job at the TVA." This is another interesting part of the featurette. In previous trailers, we see Loki in handcuffs and was treated like a prisoner with guards and all those kinds of stuff but the mention of getting a "job" means that he is to be employed by the Time Variance Authority despite being their prisoner. Odd but we'll see more of it surely on the series.
Tom Hiddleston will reprise his role as Loki as the titular character in his very own series which will be shedding more light as to how time functions in the MCU and possibly introduce another big bad for Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Loki premieres on June 9, 2021, Wednesday, via Disney.
