Warning: if you haven't seen the latest episode of Loki, this article contains spoilers so read at your own risk!

We're only three episodes in but all the mysteries surrounding Marvel Studios' latest Phase Four offering Loki are slowly unfolding right before our eyes. Just when you thought you have everything figured out, Episode 3 drops a major surprise concerning the Time Variance Authority and the so-called variants also known as the people who have been causing havoc all across the sacred timeline.

Apparently, the Time Variance Authority isn't exactly what it seems and according to Sylvie herself, everyone working in the intriguing organization used to live normal lives on Earth (and possibly other places in the universe) before they became part of the TVA. It all began when Sylvie and Loki discussed what she did to Hunter C-20 and after she pulled her enchanting tricks on the agent, Sylvie found out that she's just a regular human being.

Sylvie later told Loki that the Time Variance Authority agents and everyone else in TVA for that matter are all variants just like the two of them and just regular human beings contrary to what Laufeyson originally believed that the Time-Keepers were responsible for their creation.

Obviously, this begs the question: what exactly are the Time-Keepers up to? And why did they choose to "imprison" regular people and turn them into TVA agents instead of just "resetting" them and allowing them to live normal lives? Things are definitely starting to become a lot interesting and I'm sure the upcoming episode of Loki will bring some much-needed clarity to our biggest questions.
