Aside from being an actor, Jordan was also a playwright and singer. He started his career in the mid-1980s and was seen on the small screen on Hearts Afire in 1993.
He then made a mark as Beverly Leslie, Karen’s (Megan Mullally) sexually ambiguous rival, on Will & Grace, earning him the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series in 2006.
Come 2013, he started to play different roles in the American Horror Story franchise. His next projects were The Cool Kids and Call me Kat.
He also made a name in the theater world, playing Earl “Brother Boy” Ingram in Sordid Lives.

The Sudden Passing of Leslie Jordan
Jordan’s agent confirmed his passing on Monday morning in a fatal car crash in Los Angeles.
Police revealed that his car crashed into the side of a building, and he was found dead at the scene. However, whether he died in the collision or had suffered from a medical emergency before the crash wasn't clear.
With his death, his publicist said the “world had become a darker place.”
"Not only was he a mega talent and joy to work with, but he provided an emotional sanctuary to the nation at one of its most difficult times," David Shaul said. "Knowing that he has left the world at the height of both his professional and personal life is the only solace one can have today."
