Did you think that the wait for Nightwing's debut in Titans Season 2 took a little too long? Interestingly, fans almost didn't have to wait until the second season? A never-before-seen image from Season 1 confirms that Nightwing almost joined the Titans last year.
The photo was shared on Facebook and has been making the rounds on social media. Amazingly, it also shows Raven and Starfire in new costumes. You can view it here.
It's unclear why Nightwing's introduction had to be delayed until the end of the second season but it's obvious that the series already had plans to bring in Dick Grayson's new alter ego by the end of Season 1. However, it seems like the show didn't want to rush Dick's transformation and gave it plenty of time to develop.
Although it was a long wait, Nightwing's debut was a welcome sight in the Titans Season 2 finale. After all, he was the one who managed to defeat Deathstroke (with the help of Rose Wilson, of course). In addition to that, he united the team to create a new Titans.
Unfortunately, the episode was not without casualties as Donna Troy was killed. Rachel Roth is determined to resurrect Wonder Girl by taking her body back to Themyscira. Hopefully, we'll get to see more of Nightwing and Wonder Girl in Titans Season 3.
The third season of Titans has not yet been given an official release date. However, the series is expected to return on DC Universe by 2020.
