Besides welcoming another year, one of the most anticipated highlights of Hallyu fans every new year is Dispatch’s breaking news of celebrity couples on New Year's Day.
Recently, the media outlet never failed to surprise the public with another shocking exposé.
It comes after Dispatch revealed that two K-drama top stars are currently dating.
On New Year’s Eve, Lee Jung Suk and IU made headlines after the outlet reported that the duo are currently dating.
According to the report, they spent Christmas together in Nagoya, Japan. Initially, Lee Jong Suk visited Japan for a fan meeting while IU went to the country with her brother on December 24 and headed to Aman Nemu, one of Japan’s most luxurious hotels and resorts.
Interestingly, the outlet also revealed information from an insider saying that it was the South Korean heartthrob who “personally booked the hotel and the pickup escort” of the actress along with her brother.
Following the surprising revelation, their respective agencies confirmed that the two top stars are currently dating.
“Actor Lee Jong Suk and IU recently progressed from being close acquaintances into being a couple, and they are maintaining a serious relationship,” HighZium Studio says in an official statement obtained by Soompi.
The same goes for IU’s agency, EDAM Entertainment.

They eventually addressed the dating rumors 12 hours after Dispatch revealed the news.

In 2014, Dispatch reported that Lee Seung Gi and Girls' Generation's YoonA are in a secret relationship.
As expected, the outlet released photos featuring the new couple during their date in October after the actor picked up YoonA at her home, to visit Han River.
Their agencies then revealed that they started dating in October and even describing the couple’s relationship as a “nice love.”
Unfortunately in 2015, their label confirmed the report by Star News saying that Lee Seung Gi and YoonA have called it quits.
Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin
The Crash Landing on You stars welcomed 2021 with a bang after Dispatch shared that Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin were dating since March 2020.
VAST Entertainment immediately confirmed the news saying that the duo “met through their projects, and after the end of their drama, their positive feelings towards one another developed into a romantic relationship.”
