Kit Harington Couldn't Believe What He Was Hearing During Final Game of Thrones Table Read

Kit Harington's reaction to one of the more shocking deaths in Game of Thrones Season 8 is priceless.

HBO recently aired a documentary titled The Last Watch where we are treated with an extensive behind-the-scenes look at the making of the final season of one of the biggest shows in the world. There, we see the table read for the widely divisive series finale, where the cast was finding out for the first time what the fate of their characters will be.

When they reached the part when Jon Snow kills Daenerys, Harington was genuinely shocked. He puts his hand over his mouth as he shakes his head in disbelief. The actor also appeared to have gotten a bit emotional as the scene continues.

His co-star Emilia Clarke, on the other hand, also appeared emotional even though she was smiling through it. We then see her wipe away tears when the table read ended.

Much like his character, Harington looked as though he couldn't believe what he was hearing. A lot of Game of Thrones fans thought that Dany should have gotten a much better ending, but seeing the actor's reaction in this two-hour documentary, it truly shows just how different the experience can be for the people who actually "lived" this show. Apart from that shocking death, many also had a problem with how things ended for Jon Snow, who they hoped would be king. While the actor has defended the season in the face of the backlash, he did say or at least joked about how "disappointing" the final run of Game of Thrones was before it even aired.

Frustrated fans have been feverishly campaigning for the remake of Season 8 with more than one million viewers signing a petition to make it happen. One fan sent his message loud and clear by using a plane banner asking "someone" to "plz" rewrite the final season.
