From Theater Play to K-drama’s Good Boy
To recall, the Start-Up star made his acting debut on stage and appeared in a ton of plays. His first was the New Boeing Boeing, followed by 16 more successful theater plays.
From a live audience, Kim Seon Ho made it to the small screen after making a debut in the 2017 comedy crime K-drama Good Manager, starring Namgoong Min, 2PM’s Junho, and Nam Sang Hi.
With his successful kickoff as an actor, he started appearing in supporting roles to lead characters.
However, it was Start-Up that catapulted his career. K-drama fans fell in love with his character Han Ji Pyeong, earning him the nickname K-drama’s “good boy.”
It was followed by another blockbuster series Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha with Hallyu star Shin Min Ah.
Once again, fans were mesmerized by Kim Seon Ho’s character as he played the countryside native Hong Doo Shik.
However, at the height of his popularity, his good boy image was questioned after being involved in a massive controversy.
Kim Seon Ho was criticized after his ex-girlfriend revealed online that he was emotionally abusive and even urged her to abort their baby.
It took some time for SALT Entertainment and the actor to address the rumors, but he eventually apologized.
However, Dispatch Korea managed to shed light on the controversy after revealing receipts pointing out that the allegations were not true.
Fortunately, Kim Seon Ho’s career is getting back on track with an upcoming movie, Sad Tropics.
