After years of being away from the acting industry, Kim Hyun Joong delivered shocking news during his Words I Want To Say in February. At that time, he revealed he would be marrying his first love after getting involved in domestic violence issue with his ex-girlfriend.
Months after tying the knot, the Playful Kiss actor confirmed a new development in his married life.

Kim Hyun Joong Expecting 1st Child With Non-Celebrity Wife
Kim Hyun Joong’s agency, Henecia, released a statement confirming that the idol-turned-actor and his wife are expecting their first child. The message, obtained by Naver, disclosed that a “new life” is coming to the idol’s family.
The company also asked everyone for their blessings and support.

“As this news involves the artist’s personal life, we respectfully request that you refrain from excessive interest or speculation out of consideration for his non-celebrity wife. Thank you,” it went on.
Details about his first love, now-wife, remain unknown. But it was previously noted that he met her in 7th grade at a soondae stew restaurant in South Korea. Kim Hyun Joong notably talked about her during his appearance on SBS’s Night After Night in 2011.
At that time, he disclosed that he broke up with her after his debut due to his schedule.
Kim Hyun Joong Went Through Worse
Kim Hyun Joong’s fans think he would have still been appearing in TV shows if his ex-girlfriend did not ruin his image. For what it’s worth, his ex-lover — identified as Miss Choi — alleged that he beat her for two months.
She supported her claims with photos of her bruises and broken ribs.
But after a probe in 2020 concluded that the ex-girlfriend attempted fraud as she lied about the abuse and miscarriage.
“There is no evidence that ‘A’ suffered a miscarriage due to Kim Hyun Joong’s abuse, or that he had pressured her to have an abortion. As a celebrity, Kim Hyun Joong’s public image has suffered greatly, and his reputation has been damaged,” the Supreme Court said.
After the issue, Kim Hyun Joong happily moved forward with his now-wife.
