The third Spider-Man film is still shrouded in mystery, which is why fans went crazy about the Daredevil's potential appearance in the sequel. Filmmaker Kevin Smith shared this information on a recent episode of his podcast that got the fans hopeful, but it looks like this is only wishful thinking for now.
Shortly after reports got out about him sharing the rumor, Smith took to Twitter to clarify that he just read and talked about the rumor with regards to the appearance of Charlie Cox's Daredevil online and that it's not actually inside information. Check out his tweet below.
In the episode of his FatMan Beyond podcast released on March 15th, Smith did say that it was a rumor and didn't actually confirm anything. He also mentioned how if it was true, Marvel Studios is not gonna be happy about that going out already.
Though it is a rumor, for now, it certainly isn't a bad thing to see Cox reprise his Daredevil role for the upcoming film. It wouldn't entirely be a shock as well, given that Peter Parker may need a lawyer and ally in the threequel since his identity is now revealed to the whole world and he might encounter some enemies along the way.
