Marvel's Kevin Feige Shows Support for Batgirl Directors Following the Cancellation

The cancellation of Batgirl earlier this week prompted a lot of reactions from fans and people in the industry who were shocked by the unprecedented decision and expressed their love and sympathy for the directors and the cast who were involved in the making of the film.

One of the key people who have shown their support for the directors of Batgirl, Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, is Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. The duo recently helmed two episodes of Ms. Marvel as well as served as executive producers alongside the Marvel boss.

El Arbi posted on his Instagram story a screenshot of Feige's email to the duo after the cancellation news where he expressed his support as well as congratulated the co-director for his recent wedding. He accompanied the post with a caption, "Thanks brother Kevin."

El Arbi also revealed in a follow-up post that directors James Gunn and Edgar Wright also reached out to them with "kind words" after the cancellation news and thanked them for the support.

It is great to hear that Feige, Gunn, and Wright reached out to the duo and expressed their support following the cancellation news. It just shows that despite the difficult news that they received, they were still able to get some love from their peers and previous collaborators.

It also shows that Feige had a great time working with the duo since he even bothered to spend his time sending them an email in the midst of his busy schedule. Who knows, now that the duo has a free schedule following the cancellation, maybe Feige will tap them to work again for another MCU project in the future.
