Kevin Feige Isn't Ruling Out 'Secret Invasion' After 'Captain Marvel'

Captain Marvel surprised many by showing the Skrulls in a more sympathetic manner than we were used to. Comic book fans feel like the alien race have always been fairly ruthless but some comics did explain that they were this way due to the Kree attacking them, so adding that to the movie was a smart move. This has made many assume that we would not be seeing Secret Invasion in the MCU.

Not so fast guys. Kevin Feige has something to say about that.

Speaking with Slash Film, Feige revealed that there's still a chance that we'll be seeing more nefarious Skrulls in the future. Much like humans, Feige says that not all Skrulls are good people and we will likely see some mean, green aliens when a possible future film of it comes out.

"I don't think it means that at all. I think it means that the Skrulls are as diverse and a multilayered as any other intelligent life form. Certainly like humanity itself. And we happen to see good ones. I think there are probably better ones out there as well, like there are with any fully realized characters."

Debuting in the Fantastic Four comic books, the Skrulls have almost-always been portrayed as antagonistic. There seem to only be a few good Skrulls, though none of them have done some hardcore invading in recent comic books. Characters like Spider-Woman still have problems with them but nothing that can't be resolved in the near future.

Captain Marvel is now showing in theaters.
