Disney Plus is making its cut backs and it may include pulling out your favorite films and shows off the streamer.
However, MCU fans can rest assured, given that Marvel Studios content is not leaving the platform.
Now, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige spoke during the 2023 Disney Upfront event as shared by Variety, where he reveals just how much viewership MCU films and series have earned to stay on the streamer.
“Thanks to Disney Plus, we’ve expanded the Marvel Cinematic Universe into genre and formats new to us that we haven’t done before.” Feige said.
He shared, “We’ve been able to introduce exciting new heroes and villains, locations and storylines into the MCU.”
“And I’m pleased to share that when you compare our Marvel series to some of the buzziest shows on competitive services, even our smallest series are reaching much more international audiences,” Feige added.
Disney has been stirring up and about making their budget cuts worth their while. This is connected to why Marvel Phase 5 has been prominently lagging behind.

It remains to be seen whether we can hold on to Feige’s words in the near future, but it is worth noting that the MCU cannot thrive as much if not for their home streaming service.
Disney Plus is implementing a new strategy change where they remove some of their shared content to make way for new ones they plan on investing in.
One of those recently removed series is Willow, a fantasy series that had been cancelled by the Mouse House after only one season.
Though the series isn’t as popular as the MCU’s, the series director and fans of the show were quick to share their disappointment and outrage at refusing to renew Willow.
For now, Marvel is only releasing two shows this year, namely: Secret Invasion, whose first episode will premiere on June 21, and Loki Season 2 in October.
