In chapter 102 of Kengan Omega, the big reveal is that Hayami and Meguro knew each other previously in their lives and even fought against each other once upon a time. Kengan Omega Background
Kengan Omega is the sequel to the martial arts series Kengan Ashura. In the first story, it introduces the audience to the world of Kengan fights which are basically underground fights to the end which are sponsored by rich CEOs. They recruit one particular fighter to join a very special Kengan tournament which will see the winner receive a very prestigious title which comes with all sorts of influence, power, and money. The sequel takes place two years after the conclusion of the original story and features two new characters who have become mixed up in the world of Kengan fights. In 2019, the series received an anime adaptation that streamed on Netflix.
