We finally got to see Rose Tico appear in the final The Rise of Skywalker trailer. Kelly Marie Tran has teased that she leveled up in the film and is now part of the Resistance "in a big way." Having spent most of her screentime with John Boyega's Finn, will Star Wars fans get to see Rose together with Rey in Episode IX?

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Tran revealed that a new dynamic between both female characters would be present in the movie. Since Rey and Rose weren't in any scenes together in The Last Jedi, Tran claims that it's "really cool" that they do now in The Rise of Skywalker.

"It was really cool just to have feminine energy on set," she adds. However, Tran said she couldn't reveal any more details besides that. But she admits that she is "really excited for people to see them interact."

Tran claims that Rose and Rey have the same objectives, "which is to fight for the things that you believe in and to fight for the people that you love." The same things will still be their goals in mind for The Rise of Skywalker. She added, "I think that, if your actions are motivated by love, it's such a powerful, wonderful, thing." Tran believes these will carry out in the film in terms of what fans will see Rose do.

As for her bigger role in the movie, she admits, it's clear by now that her character has moved into a different position within the Resistance. "I'm excited for people to see more of what that means," Tran revealed. You can check out the clip from EW (via Redditor AdamDriverIsAwesome).
