Keanu Reeves Still Wants To Play Wolverine In The MCU

There is little doubt that Keanu Reeves is a hot commodity right now. The star of John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum is rumored to be in talks to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the villainous Druig in The Eternals. However, it looks like Reeves has his eyes set on a completely different comic book character. Could Marvel cast Reeves as the new Wolverine in the MCU?

Reeves recently sat down with Buzzfeed and a bunch of adorable puppies to answer some questions about himself. At one point, the Toy Story 4 star took out a question asking, "If you could choose any superhero or villain to play in the Marvel or DC comics universe, who would it be and why?" Reeves' response was pretty straightforward.

"I don't know, when I was a kid, I always wanted to play Wolverine, so, Wolverine," he said.

This isn't the first time that Reeves has expressed an interest in playing Wolverine. Nevertheless, fans are loving the consistency and are now hoping that he would be cast as Logan in the future MCU films.

Although it would be excellent to see Reeves put on some adamantium claws, it might still be a long wait for Wolverine's comeback. It is believed that Disney is trying to focus on its current Marvel Studios projects before launching the characters they have recently procured through 20th Century Fox. Either way, we're keeping our fingers crossed on Reeves finally fulfilling his childhood dream.

Reeves' film John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum will hit theaters on May 17.
