They will keep Kensington Palace as their family home in London and will still continue to visit their Norfolk home, Anmer Hall. Royal commentators Rachel Bowie and Roberta Fiorito weighed in on the Cambridge's Windsor move on their Royally Obsessed podcast.

"It's right next to Frogmore Cottage," Bowie said, per Express. "Harry and Meghan are right over there, there's going to be some tension."

Aside from the potential tension with the Sussexes, Fiorito believed that Prince William and Middleton moving near the Queen might affect the dynamic between Her Majesty and Prince Andrew.

"Also, this move is expected to significantly change the dynamic in Windsor where the Duke of York has the most contact with the Queen," Fiorito added. "I think that's fascinating. Of course the school tie in for the kids."

Prince Harry and Markle invited Prince William and Kate Middleton to Lilibet's first birthday in Frogmore Cottage. However, the future king and queen consort were forced to decline the invitation because they had a prior commitment.

The Queen tasked them to visit Cardiff Castle in Wales on the same day as part of her Platinum Jubilee celebration. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited Wales with their son Prince George, 8, and daughter Princess Charlotte, 7.

"It seemed clear that Kate had no interest in playing nice with Meghan," a source told Heat World. "And sad as it is, William feels the same. The view is that the Sussexes were lucky to receive any type of goodwill after the damage and embarrassment they’ve caused the monarchy. Neither side looks likely to back down."
