Kate Middleton and Prince William rarely pack on the PDA. When the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge did during Middleton's Christmas carol concert, several accused the royal couple of staging the intimate moment.
Kate Middleton And Prince William Allegedly Staged Intimate Moment
The Duchess of Cambridge hosted the first Christmas carol at Westminster Abbey. It was documented by ITV and featured several artists, including Ellie Golding, Leona Lewis and Kate Garraway.
Middleton's mask slipped and her husband helped her. However, some speculated that the royal couple's sweet moment was staged or "rehearsed," Express reported.
"It is rehearsed anyway," @ATaylorSaunders wrote.
"So she does stop grinning, she's either not getting her own way or reminding him who's boss," @Lost_In_Films_ added.
However, some royal fans also defended the future king and queen consort. For them, it was not staged because they didn't know the camera would span on them and capture that moment.
"How can it be rehearsed that they knew exactly when the camera was going to be on them. Come on, use your brain and be realistic," one fan wrote.
It wasn't the only moment when the royal couple shared a sweet scene. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were also spotted exchanging glances at the event. In a clip shared on Instagram, Middleton was caught on camera glancing over her husband to share a smile before coyly looking away while Goulding was singing "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas."
It might not appear sweet to some, but it involved obvious memories during their big day. The outlet noted that Goulding performed Elton John's Your Song, at their royal wedding 10 years ago in the same building the carol service was filmed, Elle reported.
Kate Middleton Surprised Fans With Her Piano Skills
It seemed that the Duchess of Cambridge is full of surprises. Aside from the sweet moment with her husband, Prince William, which was very unlikely, she shocked fans when she played the piano while singer Tom Walker performed, Town & Country reported.
"I thought she absolutely smashed the performance; it's not easy to just jump behind a piano with a bunch of musicians you've never played with before and record live takes to camera, but she completely nailed it," Walker said about Middleton.
The singer described the duchess as "a lovely, kind and warm-hearted person." Middleton also reportedly took the time to thank everyone personally for the opportunity she had to perform with Walker.
