Prince William, Kate Middleton, and Prince Harry were very close before Meghan Markle. However, when the former Suits star joined the royal family, Prince William and Prince Harry decided to split their household. A royal expert weighed in on the reason behind the royals' falling out.

Kate Middleton And Prince William Didn't Agree With Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Commercializing On Royal Family?

The Prince and Princess of Wales have supported the institution. However, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, decided to step back from their royal duties less than two years after their royal wedding.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved to Los Angeles, California. They landed multi-million and multi-year deals with Netflix and Spotify, which was what they wanted as they wished to be financially independent of the royal family.

However, they raised several eyebrows because many believed their association with the royal family was what fueled their popularity. Also, Markle has used her royal title — the Duchess of Sussex — multiple times while in the United States.

According to royal expert and commentator Richard Palmer, Prince William and Kate Middleton didn't like the Sussexes' move as they felt that profiting from the crown would damage their status as royals. Commercializing the royalty was reportedly one of the reasons for the Cambriges' falling out with the Sussexes.

“Thus, it wasn't the right thing to do”, Palmer said, Hindustan Times reported.

At present, Prince Harry and Markle have a Netflix docuseries coming out in December. The Duke of Sussex's memoir will hit shelves early next year and many are looking forward to the bombshell revelations in it.

There are speculations that his book could either mend or end their relationship with the members of the firm.

Prince William Warns Prince Harry About His Speedy Romance With Meghan Markle?

Palmer said another reason behind Prince William and Prince Harry's rift was the former's advice toward the latter about his romance with Markle. Prince William was reportedly concerned about his younger brother's relationship with the former Deal or No Deal briefcase model because it was too fast.

However, Prince Harry took his advice against him. The younger royal, who had been supportive of Prince William's relationship with Kate Middleton, reportedly felt that his sibling wasn't supportive of him and Markle.

According to royal experts, Prince William had the best interest of Prince Harry. However, the Prince of Wales' words rubbed his brother the wrong way.

Prince William advising his brother to take his romance with Markle slow was not out of line. He also waited for almost a decade before he proposed to Middleton, prompting many to call the Duchess of Cambridge "Waity Katies." However, the long wait gave Middleton the time to carefully adjust to royal life and be successful in joining the firm. Some experts even felt that it was a wise move.

"William said it at the time of their engagement, and it had been a long engagement. It gave Kate the time to ... really understand what royal life was going to be like and actually [decide] if it was what she wanted. So, I think that 10-year courtship was absolutely fundamental," Vanity Fair royal editor Katie Nicholl told Fox News Digital.
