Thor: Love and Thunder had the benefit of being announced with a late 2021 release date but has since been delayed to February 11, 2022, which is actually pretty fitting. The movie has love in its title and will now be coming out before Valentine's Day? That's a win in my book. Another win was bringing back Natalie Portman as the Jane Foster version of Thor from Jason Aaron's epic comic book run.
But will Kat Dennings return? She played Darcy Lewis in the first two Thor movies and was known for mispronouncing Mjolnir to the loud applause of everyone who saw them. She will reprise her role for the Disney+ series WandaVision but when it comes to Love and Thunder, Dennings isn't sure yet.
Speaking with People, Dennings said she simply does not know if there are plans for her character to return. It's weird knowing that Darcy Lewis might not be appearing in this film, yet she is going to appear in WandaVision, which might not even have Thor. Then again, she could be a member of S.W.O.R.D. which could end up being cool.
Considering how Jane is making her big return in Love and Thunder, it would be sad if Darcy doesn't end up appearing at all. We're sure there will be a small line about her being busy elsewhere but that will make most of us roll our eyes. Better than nothing I suppose.
