Ray Fisher is best known for bringing Cyborg to life in the 2017 Justice League movie. However, the actor actually almost got a part in the galaxy far, far away as Finn - the former stormtrooper who later joined the Resistance.

In a recent Twitch stream (shared by a fan on YouTube), Fisher opened up about his audition process for the part in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, as well as how it differs in auditioning for the role of Cyborg. "I did not audition in any intense capacity for Star Wars," he revealed. "In fact, I wasn't even technically made aware of what the stuff was that I was reading."

Fisher says he didn't think that it "went further" than him putting something on tape "and having that be that." However, with respect to Justice League, the actor had the audition process and "met with folks involved with [the] production," along with a testing process.

The actor says his experience with Star Wars could probably be equivalent to that of having the first step or a "baby step" of what the process would have been. "And my experience with Justice League would be, you know, taking it all the way," he added.

In casting Finn, it was reportedly revealed that Fisher was one of the few candidates that director J.J. Abrams was eyeing. Obviously, the part eventually went to actor John Boyega, who went on to play the character in three movies, with The Rise of Skywalker being the latest one.
