Justice League Cinematographer Shares Unused Image of Ben Affleck's Batman

Justice League cinematographer Fabian Wagner made headlines when he talked about how much he hated the film's theatrical cut, which he said brought him to tears. Wagner was not contacted to be a part of the reshoots, claiming that most of his work was done with Zack Snyder still onboard, so if we want to see his work we'll need to wait for the long-fabled Snyder Cut that everyone likes to talk about.

Wagner has decided to appease the fans who want some of the Snyder Cut by showing an epic unused image of Ben Affleck as Batman. While we aren't sure how this would have factored into the film's final cut, it is kind of nice seeing Affleck's Batman again, especially with better lighting. It's clear that the Whedon cut edited some of the shots to look brighter and it resulted in an ugly movie.

It seems like Warner Bros. has no interest in releasing a Justice League Snyder Cut, even with all of us fans asking for one. Snyder has pretty much left the DCEU and is back to working on his own movies, while new DC films like Aquaman and Shazam have basically abandoned all the Snyder traits that fans loved/hated.

Personally, as someone who thought Man of Steel was alright and didn't have nice things to say about Batman V Superman, I would like to see the Snyder Cut. Even if the movie isn't any good, it will at least feel like someone's vision and not a half-assed attempt at a crowd-pleasing blockbuster.

Justice League is now available on Blu-ray and DVD, though you probably shouldn't buy it.
