A lot of fans might be surprised that there is a panda in Jujutsu Kaisen. They would be even more surprised when they hear him speak. For those who have not finished watching Jujutsu Kaisen, Panda is a supporting character in the series.
It is important to know that he is not a real panda but an abrupt mutated cursed corpse, which is a non-living object that has a curse. Most of the time, they are used as dolls or puppets. But that does not seem to be the case with Panda. He was made by Masamichi Yaga, the principle of Jujutsu High, and Panda is one of the students there.
Jujutsu Kaisen Panda: Name and 3 Forms
Panda does not have a real name and everyone just calls him that. What fans will find amusing is that Panda does not want to be a human. He is already satisfied with being what he is now. Speaking of, since Panda is not a human, he does not have a heart. What he has are cores.
Panda has 3 cores which let him have 3 forms. Normally, he should only have one but Yaga told Panda that he has two siblings inside him, each with one core. In case he is in trouble or he needs his siblings, they will lend him power. When this happens, Panda changes his form.
The first form is the Panda form. Basically, he looks the same as he normally does. In this form, he has strength and agility. This form is not volatile to cursed energy. The second form is the Gorilla form. This form is ideal for short close-range fights. The Gorilla is Panda’s brother that has hyper-reactive cursed energy.
During this form, he becomes aggressive in fights and can unlock a special ability which is called the Unblockable Drumming Beat. The advantage of this is that with little force, the impact of Panda’s hits is powerful and critical, especially when the head is hit. The only downfall is that it can drain Panda’s cursed energy.
The third and final form is the sister form, although it has not revealed its form yet, Panda mentioned that it was a shy form. Fans will have to wait for an update regarding this third form to know its appearance and abilities.
Jujutsu Kaisen Panda: Death and Powers
Panda is actually cursed energy, but he is considered as an abrupt mutated cursed corpse as he is capable of having emotions. He can also act and speak like normal human beings. This does not change the fact that he has a huge reserve of cursed energy. He is capable to fight as an attack and defense. Even better, he is perceptive and clever, giving him the advantage to predict his opponent’s movements.
In addition, Panda is a grade 2 sorcerer, meaning he can exorcise curses with just his physical abilities. The only way the opponent can defeat him is by destroying all his 3 cores. Other abilities of Panda are enhanced strength, enhanced endurance, and high-tactical intellect.
Jujutsu Kaisen Panda: Age and Voice Actor
Unfortunately, Panda’s age has not been confirmed. But as a second-year student, fans assume that he can be 17 years old like other second-year students. What is not clear is that if cursed corpses age the same way as humans. Meanwhile, the voice actor of Panda is Tomokazu Seki for the Japanese version and Matthew David Rudd for the English version.
