There is little doubt that all of the characters in Jujutsu Kaisen are interesting in their own way. However, people have their own personal favorites when they read the manga or watch the anime. Interestingly, it looks like even the MAPPA staff have favorites when animating the characters. In addition to that, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 director Sunghoo Park has revealed that the staff's favorites get some special treatment during production!

Sunghoo Park knows a lot about animating the Jujutsu Kaisen characters. After all, he works on the anime and directed the prequel movie. So it's no surprise that Park shared how he and the production staff members enjoy working on the anime. He also revealed how the staff members give their personal favorites some special treatment.

"It is a funny story, but all of the production staff members had so much love for each character that each of them sometimes interpreted and expressed their favorite character in their own way," Park told Crunchyroll. He then revealed that this was obvious when the staff continued working on Satoru Gojo and Megumi Fushiguro.

"I particularly remember that with Gojo and Fushiguro, we noticed that their eyelashes were growing longer and longer, and in the end, we had to match them precisely to the character settings," Park said with a laugh.

It's easy to understand what Park is talking about. Gojo is always animated so lovingly whenever he removes his blindfold. Fushiguro also doesn't have any bad angles in the anime.

We're loving Park's story since this means that even the production staff members are just as relatable as the rest of the fandom. It also helps in making sure they are doing an awesome job on the anime.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is still screening in theaters worldwide. The anime is expected to return with Season 2 in Winter 2023.
