Majors was arrested Saturday, March 25, in Manhattan on suspicion of strangulation, assault, and harassment.

The rest reportedly happened after a domestic dispute in the Chelsea neighborhood.

The officers continued that Majors was taken into custody without incident, and the alleged victim told them she had been “assaulted.”

In a statement to BuzzFeed, Majors’ lawyer Priya Chaudhry said her client is “completely innocent and is probably the victim of an altercation with a woman he knows.”

The legal rep added that there was video evidence of the incident inside a vehicle and witnesses’ testimonies that would prove Majors’ innocence. She continued that the accuser took back her accusation of assault in written statements.

Chaudry revealed that the woman in question was experiencing an “emotional crisis, for which she was taken to a hospital yesterday.”
