Jonathan Majors Compares Working on Ant-Man 3 to Filming For Loki

We have already seen a glimpse of Kang the Conqueror in Loki earlier this year and the character, or another Variant like him, is set to appear in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. So what was it like working on two very different Marvel Cinematic Universe projects? Jonathan Majors has revealed that filming for the Disney+ show was completely different from being a part of the MCU sequel.

Fans loved it when Majors showed up in the Loki Season 1 finale and was revealed to be the one who created the Time Variant Authority in the first place. However, the character he played in the series was actually He Who Remains, a Variant of Kang and a very different character from the one he will portray in Quantumania.

But is that the only difference between Loki and Ant-Man 3? Majors recently spoke to Variety where spoke about the general differences between his MCU projects.

"Well, it's a different script, so there's that. Different writers, and I'm shooting in a different country," Majors explained. "And you know, He Who Remains is in the world now, so there's so much we know about him."

Majors further stated that the Variant's introduction in Loki set things up for Kang's arrival in Quantumania.

"There's what? 40 minutes of that guy in that narrative, and so it really set me up to tell a story and ... have another canvas with more players," he said.

Majors concluded that the main difference is that he's working with a new set of actors. "This time it's not the incredible Tom Hiddleston. This time I'm dealing with Paul Rudd and Evangeline [Lilly] and the likes of the Ant-Man family, so it's a whole different world and I'm just exploring it and trying to do the best..." he said.

It sounds like Majors enjoyed working with Hiddleston as well as the Ant-Man family. Either way, it's great that he's loving being a part of the MCU and we're looking forward to seeing him in action again soon.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania is scheduled for release on February 17, 2023.
