It's been a rough couple of days for Jonathan Majors who found himself in the midst of a horrific scandal that just might alter the trajectory of his blossoming acting career. On Saturday, the 33-year-old star was arrested in New York after an alleged domestic dispute involving his own girlfriend, an incident that would instantly make headlines across news outlets.
Naturally, the actor's fans were shocked after learning about the incident and all the accusations Jonathan was facing. The whole controversy also raised a lot of questions and concerns about his Marvel Cinematic Universe fate. Many believe that once authorities get a hold of substantial evidence that would prove his misconduct, his role in the superhero franchise could come to a screeching halt.
Majors' MCU career is obviously shrouded in uncertainty right now and it seems plausible that Marvel Studios could resort to recasting the actor, especially if his girlfriend's initial claims get proven. On Twitter, fans have begun the #RecastKang movement, and on top of their list of potential actors who could portray the Multiverse Saga's big bad moving forward is Star Wars alumnus John Boyega.
Boyega has long been on the fans' radar regarding dream MCU casting and should the studio come to the decision of firing Majors for his controversies, many think the Finn actor would be a suitable replacement.

As it stands, Marvel has yet to issue a statement addressing the scandal but it's worth mentioning that Majors is also a part of Loki's second season which is set to premiere sometime this year.
Disney has notoriously ousted its employees who've been involved in controversies of their own, most notably director James Gunn in 2018 and The Mandalorian actress Gina Carano in 2021 although the former was fortunate enough to have gotten reinstated.
