We never thought we would see Joe Manganiello's Deathstroke again, but he's set to come back in Zack Snyder's Justice League along with Jared Leto's Joker. What's interesting is, Manganiello has added some Easter Eggs to his performance, and he teases it in this new video.
This comes from ET Canada:
"I made some modifications to the character. I was able to put a little more of my ‘stink' on the character this time… nudge the character in the direction I wanted to go. There are easter eggs, one in particular that I snuck in for hardcore fans… we'll see if anybody catches it."
We don't really know officially what Deathstroke will be doing in the Justice League movie, but it's said that he'll be part of another Knightmare scene where Slade Wilson and the Joker are actually teaming up with Batman this time—possibly raising the stakes on how bad of a villain Darkseid is going to be.
If you've followed the news before Justice League came out, you'll know that Manganiello was doing a lot of research on the character, so it was a shame that the original plans with Ben Affleck's Batman fell through. At least now, he gets to revisit the character for just a little bit, and hopefully, audience reception is good enough that HBO Max would be willing to fund a Ben Affleck Batman project apart from the box office movie with Robert Pattinson.
No release date has been set for Zack Snyder's Justice League, but catch it on HBO Max on September 5, 2021.
