J.K. Rowling Gets Co-Scriptwriter With Fantastic Beasts 3 Set For Production

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald might have done very poorly among critics, but it looks like the film's sequel is moving on to begin production. Not only that, but it seems like Warner Brothers has hired Steve Kloves to co-write the script together with Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling.

According to a report by Deadline, Warner Brothers has scheduled Fantastic Beasts 3 for production in Spring next year. The franchise's regular cast is to return. This includes Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Jude Law, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, and Johnny Depp. The Crimes of Grindelwald star Jessica Williams is also set to reprise her role as Eulalie "Lally" Hicks, the professor from the Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The report claims that Williams is to take on a more substantive role in Fantastic Beasts 3.

A new post on Twitter also gives fans more information about Fantastic Beasts 3's production, saying that J.K. Rowling is co-writing the script for the movie together with Steve Kloves.

Casual fans might not be that familiar with the name, but the screenwriter was responsible for all of the scripts for the Harry Potter movies except Order of the Phoenix.

It might sound odd to fans that Warner Brothers decided to bring in Kloves when Rowling is already writing the script for the movie, but it looks like the studio doesn't want to take any more chances after the failures of The Crimes of Grindelwald.
