J.K. Rowling Becomes A Meme After Revealing ‘Intense’ Dumbledore/Grindelwald Romance

While she is responsible for creating one of the biggest pop-culture franchises in the world, J.K. Rowling has recently gotten a rep for adding things to the Harry Potter fandom that seem to be pulled out of a hat. She had just revealed that there was an ‘intense' romance between Dumbledore and Grindelwald, and now Twitter has gone to joke about Rowling just pulling out weirdly erotic details that no one asks for online.

Here's a few of them:

For now, it seems that Rowling is mainly being teased for her revelations about Dumbledore and Grindelwald. She had only mentioned before that Dumbledore was gay, but thanks to the Fantastic Beasts films, Rowling now has more opportunities to add to the romance that was between Harry's mentor and Voldemort's predecessor. Besides the gay thing, a lot of people still remember that weird detail that revealed that wizard's used to relieve themselves where they stood and just vanish away the evidence:

When you look online, fans have been begging Rowling to be a bit more careful when it comes to adding lore to her universe. While it did cap off great with Deathly Hallows, a lot of Potter fans have argued that The Cursed Child should be removed from canon—add to that these little tidbits that Rowling adds online at random.

Rowling is set to continue writing the Fantastic Beasts films which are set for three more installments. After the stumble of Crimes of Grindelwald though, let's hope the filmmakers have decided to fix the problems with future films.

Catch Fantastic Beasts 3 in theaters Nov. 20, 2020.
