Jeremy Renner Remains in 'Critical But Stable' Condition After Surgery

The new year was welcomed with the unfortunate news that beloved MCU actor Jeremy Renner was involved in a snow-plowing accident in Reno that led him to be airlifted to a hospital as he is in "critical but stable condition" as a result of the injuries that he suffered.

A lot of fans have been sending their wishes and prayers for the actor's recovery on social media and are also anxiously waiting for updates regarding his current condition.

Now, according to Deadline, Renner's representatives have confirmed that the actor is now out of surgery from the "blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries" that he suffered. He also remains to be in "the intensive care unit in critical but stable condition."

"We can confirm that Jeremy has suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries and has undergone surgery today, January 2nd 2023. He has returned from surgery and remains in the intensive care unit in critical but stable condition," the actor's reps said in a statement yesterday.

"Jeremy’s family would like to express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, Washoe County Sheriff, Reno City Mayor Hillary Schieve and the Carano and Murdock families. They are also tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from his fans."

A report from TMZ revealed more alleged details about the actor's accident where they claimed that he was accidentally run over by the plowing machine and was losing a lot of blood from the injury. A neighbor, who's a doctor, was able to put a tourniquet on his leg until paramedics arrived.

This is certainly unfortunate news especially as we just welcomed the year 2023. Hopefully, Renner will be able to recover soon from the injuries that he suffered and all of us here are sending our wishes to him and his family and close friends as they are going through this difficult time.
