Jeffrey Dean Morgan has been very vocal about his desire to reprise his role as Thomas Wayne in the DC Extended Universe and to a lot of fans, the star of The Walking Dead should've been given the chance to return to the franchise.

The timing couldn't have been perfect as well considering Warner Bros. is currently working on Ezra Miller's The Flash but it's evident that the studio has no plans of using Thomas and Martha Wayne.

But that isn't going to stop Morgan from lobbying to play the multiverse version of Bruce Wayne's father. Apparently, his The Walking Dead co-star Lauren Cohan, who played Martha Wayne in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is also down with the idea of exploring the tragic story of Flashpoint Batman and Joker.

In a recent interview with ComicBook, the two actors expressed their eagerness to star in a Flashpoint-esque project. "I would love. I would love (to do that). Let it be said and known and documented. We both would love for this to happen," Lauren said. Jeffrey added, "We have, Lauren and I have talked about that for years. I think her playing, I'd love to see her version come on. You never know. It's true. You really never know with DC in particular, but everything is so kind of complicated within the Snyder-verse of it all. Unfortunately, but Lauren and I have made it clear and we're doing it again now that version."

Warner Bros. dropped the ball big time by not having Jeffrey and Lauren star as alternate versions of Bruce Wayne's parents in The Flash. As we all know, Michael Keaton is set to reprise his role as Batman and serve as Barry Allen's mentor, similar to the role Thomas Wayne played in the original Flashpoint storyline.

Still, with DC exploring the "Elseworlds" concept on film, there's still a chance that we could see Flashpoint Batman and Joker's story be adapted on the big screen.

The Flash is slated for release in November 2022.
