Even though they released the final trailer for X-Men: Dark Phoenix back in April, it seems like Fox won't cut down on advertisements for the film since we're getting yet another TV spot. This will be the final X-Men movie from the company so we can't blame them but it is annoying how fans are close to being completely spoiled when it comes to the movie's events.
The new TV spot focuses on how powerful Jean Grey is, now that she has fully embraced the power of the Phoenix Force. Professor X actually thinks that Jean is too powerful for anyone to handle right now, which is probably why he keeps warning Magneto to not fight her. It's called Dark Phoenix for a reason and we're all expecting a lot of chaos and epic battles when it comes to this movie.
Honestly, the clips we've seen thus far aren't too bad but the fact that it looks so similar to The Last Stand is pretty jarring. Nobody liked X-Men: The Last Stand and if you think you do, well, your tastes are kinda weird. Admittedly, the death of Mystique does add some stakes to this film and we've also been promised more killings to follow so it will be interesting to see how they make Jean sympathetic since they are making her really unlikeable right now.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix is coming out on June 6.
