- Quick Answer: Adria Arjona has not been officially confirmed as Wonder Woman, though her mysterious casting in Man of Tomorrow and recent social media activity continue to fuel intense fan speculation.
Adria Arjona has once again fueled speculation that she could play Wonder Woman in the DC Universe after DC Studios co-head and director James Gunn shared a post celebrating the character’s 85th anniversary.
Despite Gunn recently pushing back against rumors that the Hit Man star would play Diana of Themyscira following her casting in the Superman sequel Man of Tomorrow, fan theories and media reports continue to fuel speculation.
So, did Arjona just hint again that she could be playing Wonder Woman in the DCU?
Is Adria Arjona Hinting at a Possible Wonder Woman Role?

James Gunn celebrated Wonder Woman’s 85th anniversary, marking the character’s first appearance in ALL-STAR COMICS #8, written by William Moulton Marston with art by H.G. Peter.
“Wonder Woman can take on gods, monsters, and just about anything the universe throws at her,” he wrote in a post on X. “But one of her greatest strengths has always been her ability to see the humanity in people who have forgotten how to see it in themselves.”
As expected, many fans filled the celebratory post with comments asking about the DCU’s own Wonder Woman following Gal Gadot’s exit.
“Where’s the Wonder Woman announcements, James?” one fan commented.
“85th Anniversary and no new Wonder Woman animated series, DCU movie, or game anywhere in sight,” another said. “Maybe DC should rename the ‘Trinity’ to ‘Duo’ at this point, because they don't seem to care about Diana enough.”
Amid all the questions, Adria Arjona liked and reacted to Gunn’s post, leading fans to speculate that she might be the new Wonder Woman in the DCU.
One follower even called this move the “worst kept secret since Sadie,” referring to Sadie Sink’s rumored role as X-Men’s Jean Grey in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
“I mean, they might as well announce it now; it's so obvious! This is basically how they tried to convince us that Sadie Sink wasn’t going to play Jean Grey in Spider-Man: BND all over again,” another fan explained.
However, Arjona’s reaction to Gunn’s post is not confirmation of her casting, leaving Wonder Woman’s future in the DCU a mystery for now.
Is Adria Arjona Hinting at Playing Wonder Woman in the DC Universe?

James Gunn has yet to reveal who will play the new Wonder Woman in the DCU, let alone confirm Adria Arjona’s role in Man of Tomorrow.
That said, following her casting, fans quickly speculated that she would play the crown princess of the Amazons.
Well, it’s easy to see why. Not only does she look the part, but her performance in Onslaught also demonstrates her ability to handle action scenes.
While Gunn remains tight-lipped about Arjona’s role, Frank Grillo, who plays General Rick Flag Sr. in the DCU, seemed to fuel the rumors after sharing a fan-made Man of Tomorrow poster featuring the 34-year-old actress as Wonder Woman.
Although Gunn clarified that the artwork was not an official movie poster and claimed Grillo shared it simply because he was in it, fans remain convinced that it could mean something.
For now, Arjona’s role may remain a mystery until Man of Tomorrow hits theaters on July 9, 2027.
