Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is one of the many highly-anticipated films of the MCU's Phase 4. Helmed by renowned director James Gunn, the upcoming threequel will be the crew's final outing, and will also be the franchise's darkest film.
Now that GOTG3 has wrapped filming, Gunn has been constantly sharing updates about the upcoming film and remained responsive to fans' enthusiasm about the beloved MCU franchise. However, Gunn was recently furious about a fake casting call for GOTG3 and warned the fans about companies taking advantage of their dreams.
"Okay this is disgusting," Gunn tweeted. "People should beware of companies like @Nine9dotCOM, ripping off people and taking advantage of their dreams. Once again, this casting call is bullshit: we finished shooting a month ago."

One follower replied and vouched that Nine9dotCOM's casting call is indeed a scam. @words_nik wrote, "Even worse they're hosting regular mass zoom calls to get people to pay them 99$ plus monthly service fees to have opportunities for GoTG. They're getting people to pay live while pressuring people on the call who aren't sending in payments.
If you are an aspiring actor, landing a Guardians of the Galaxy role would totally be a massive break, and people must have freaked out seeing the casting call. Sadly, these kinds of schemes have preyed on several individuals who are big fans of the franchise, taking advantage of their enthusiasm and passion.
This little act of Gunn calling out Nine9dotCOM just enlightened the public about fake casting schemes that might have been going around for decades. More importantly, Nine9dotCOM’s attempt to scam aspiring actors will now never prosper, thanks to director James Gunn.
Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 1 & 2 are available to stream on Disney+, while Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will premiere in theaters on May 5, 2023.
