James Gunn Teases Vigilante Debut in Peacemaker Series

There is little doubt that we are all waiting for John Cena's return in Peacemaker. However, he isn't the only comic book hero who will appear in the Suicide Squad spin-off. We already know that Vigilante will be joining the DC Extended Universe series and James Gunn has teased on Adrian Chase's debut in the HBO Max show.

It's already been confirmed that Vigilante will show up in Peacemaker and will be played by former Harry Potter actor Freddie Stroma. We still haven't seen him all suited up but a fan took a screenshot from the HBO Max teaser that might look like Adrian in action with Cena's character.

They immediately shared it with Gunn asking if it's Vigilante and the director had an awesome response.

That's not exactly the answer we were hoping for but it's good enough to tease Vigilante's DCEU debut. In addition to that, he might be on Peacemaker's team. Needless to say, we can't wait to see Adrian in action next year.

This isn't the first time that Adrian Chase has appeared in a live-action series. A version of the character was featured in Arrow and was played by Josh Segarra. Hopefully, this version will be true to the Vigilante who appears in the comic books.

Peacemaker will also star Steve Agee, Danielle Brooks, Robert Patrick, Jennifer Holland, and Chukwudi Iwuji. The series has not yet been given an official release date. However, it is already expected to premiere on HBO Max in January 2020.
