James Gunn recently revealed that there are no plans for Superman to undergo reshoots as the post-production is currently ongoing.

The DCU movie finally wrapped filming recently ahead of its arrival in theaters next year. It is an exciting development for many fans as they can now just simply anticipate any trailers or first-look images before its release.

So far, the majority of the details regarding the reboot are still under wraps, but it is set to officially launch the new DC movie franchise under the management of Gunn and Peter Safran.

In his recent post on Threads, Gunn suggested that he has no plans for Superman to undergo reshoots ahead of its release next year.

He explained his process on how he avoided planning for reshoots during the film's production.

"Over-prepare. Don’t start shooting until I have a finished script my whole team is happy with. Hire actors and department heads I know can do their jobs. Surround myself with people who will challenge me and not just yes-sir everything," the director wrote in his post.

"Ask myself daily - are there any small imperfections in the script or what we’re shooting that might end up feeling like huge imperfections when we cut the film together?"

As most comic book movie fans know, Marvel Studios has become notorious for doing reshoots in almost every project that they're producing and it is credited as one of the reasons for their success.

However, it looks like DC Studios will be avoiding that for their first theatrical project and Gunn has made an effort to avoid it as much as possible.

It should be noted that it could still change in the coming months if ever Gunn decided to do additional photography after reviewing the cut of the film during post-production.

While it remains to be seen whether the reshoots will matter or not when we see the final results, all we can do for now is respect Gunn's process and hopefully, the rest of its post-production will go well as fans have long been anticipating for the Man of Steel's relaunch.

Superman is slated for release in theaters on July 11, 2025.
