Gunn is currently promoting The Suicide Squad and he recently spoke to Comicbook.com about his other works. When asked how he feels about following up a darker DC Extended Universe flick with the whimsical MCU sequel, Gunn was quick to point out that the projects have their differences.

"Listen, Guardians movies are just different. It's just using a different part of my brain in some ways," Gunn admitted. "I mean, Guardians movies are more geometric. This Guardians, in particular, is just gigantic, so I'm just finishing the story that I feel like I need to finish."
