James Gunn Says Avengers: Endgame Didn't Alter Plans for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 might not have a release date but it is one of the most anticipated MCU movies coming out in the near future. The first two movies were a huge hit and fans are looking forward to what happens next to Star-Lord and his friends, especially after the new Gamora who came from 2012 decided to stay in our universe.

Since Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 takes place after Endgame and made a number of changes, fans have wondered if James Gunn had to adjust his ideas. Well, during a Q and A on Instagram, Gunn revealed that he already knew how the events of Endgame were going to turn out so his plans were never in jeopardy.

Here's what Gunn told the fan on Instagram (via ComicBookMovie):

"The script will change because my scripts always keep changing up until the moment I shoot them. But it won't change according to anything from Endgame, because I already knew what was in that script before I wrote Guardians 3."

This probably isn't too surprising since the Marvel Cinematic Universe is known for having a lot of cohesion, so the writers have to tightly work together when making new movies. Fans will probably remember how Brie Larson actually had to act out her scenes in Avengers: Endgame before starring in her solo film Captain Marvel.

Currently, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has no release date.
