Fans of the Guardians of the Galaxy film franchise were extremely disappointed after James Gunn and company didn't unveil the official trailer for the third sequel during their panel presentation at last month's San Diego Comic-Con. Of course, many believed the geek spectacle would have been the perfect venue for Marvel Studios to release the anticipated trailer but that wasn't the case.

While we still don't know when exactly the trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will premiere, James did confirm that he already has a timeframe set for it and judging by his latest remark, the awaited trailer could drop anytime soon.

When a fan asked him during a recent Instagram Q&A session about the trailer's status, the director of DC's The Suicide Squad pretty much confirmed that he knows exactly when the public will be able to see the teaser trailer for his "final" Marvel Cinematic Universe film. He responded with a beaming face emoji: "I know exactly when they'll see the trailer". Check it out here:

James has gone on record on multiple occasions claiming that GOTG Vol. 3 will mark the final time we'll see the Guardians together but what he meant by that still remains a mystery. One thing's for sure, it will be hard to imagine the Marvel Cinematic Universe without the presence of the so-called "Space Avengers".

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is currently scheduled for release on May 5, 2023.
