James Gunn Argues With SnyderVerse Supporter Over Petty Conspiracy

Zack Snyder is currently finishing up Rebel Moon at Netflix, while James Gunn is revamping the new DC Universe and promoting his final MCU movie, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Despite these circumstances, some naysayers still find a reason to put the two against each other.

Hours before Snyder unveiled a brand new line of clothing, Gunn shared a photo of the Guardians cast wearing clothing emblazoned with his face, leading one fan to accuse Gunn of copying Snyder’s online activity.

The SnyderVerse supporter insisted that the Peacemaker creator is mimicking Snyder by always posting at the same time as him, to which Gunn bluntly responded that how can he know what the Dawn of the Dead director will post hours before he does it?

Last Sunday, Snyder shared a poster design that features the Justice League roster, including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg, and The Flash, drawn by popular comic book artist Jim Lee.

T-shirt sales using the poster design would benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving suicide awareness and prevention.

The SnyderVerse refers to Snyder's interconnected film universe, which began with Man of Steel and continued with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League.

However, Snyder's universe has been abandoned in favor of an integrated DC Universe of cinema, television, animation, and video game projects led by Gunn and Peter Safran.

Even though he no longer has any intention to return to DC, Snyder has a devoted fan base that admires his vision for the DCU. To this day, the Snyderverse films have been acclaimed by fans and critics.

It’s no issue that SnyderVerse fans are still passionate about their love, but others have argued that it’s time to move on because most of the Justice League members have moved on from the franchise.

Henry Cavill has inked a deal with Amazon to create his ultimate fantasy project: a Warhammer 40,000 film. Ben Affleck has publicly distanced himself from Gunn, indicating that he is disinterested in any DC project under the new administration.

Gal Gadot is preparing to play Cleopatra. Jason Momoa is the new face of the Fast and Furious franchise, while Ezra Miller is expected to be replaced after the release of The Flash film.

The Snyderverse activism has left behind a lot of baggage, and it appears no company would be willing to move forward with any DC characters carrying this burden.
