Jake Gyllenhaal doesn't care that Taylor's Swift song All Too Well may be about him. The actor has been the target of discussion on social following the release of the extended version of Swift's iconic breakup song, with fans speculating that Gyllenhaal may be the former flame Swift was talking to in her lyrics.

Fans pointed out that a lot of the lyrics do fit Swift's relatively short romance with the Donnie Darko actor. One line reads, "I'll get older, but your lovers stay my age," seemingly talking about how Gyllenhaal has a penchant for younger lovers. Gyllenhaal is currently involved with 25-year-old model Jeanne Cadieu.

Another line in the lyrics, "You said if we had been closer in age maybe it would have been fine /, and that made me want to die," also seemingly related to Swift's short stint with the actor.

Gyllenhaal Doesn't Care About The Drama

Although Swifties are still studying each Easter egg and reeling over the re-recorded song—not to mention its accompanying short film starring Dylan O'Brien and Sadie Sink—a source close to Gyllenhaal claimed that the 40-year-old actor is completely unconcerned with the issue.

The source said Gyllenhaal really has no interest in the gossip. Gyllenhaal reportedly doesn't pay attention to any of the hype and rumors as he prefers to ignore "all of the noise."

A separate source said the Nightcrawler actor is upset that he has been targeted. The source added that Gyllenhaal is a private person and doesn't want any drama in his life, especially from a three-month fling he had more than a decade ago.

Despite the fact that Swift is in a happy relationship with Joe Alwyn and Gyllenhaal has clearly moved on, the actor reportedly still does not want to be questioned about someone he briefly dated years ago.

All Just Unconfirmed Rumors

Jake recently attended the Hamilton Behind the Camera Awards in Los Angeles to celebrate his sister Maggie Gyllenhaal, who received the Breakthrough Director award for her new film The Lost Daughter. He was seen casually speaking with Maggie, 44, and her husband, Peter Sarsgaard, in a snapshot taken at the wedding.

For three months in 2010, Jake was romantically related to Taylor. When Red was released in 2012, people speculated that several of the songs on the album, including her huge single We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, were about the breakup.

Though Taylor has never verified or disputed the suspicions surrounding Red, she did remark in a 2013 edition of New York magazine that one of her ex-boyfriends contacted her after hearing the album. Taylor said the conservation with the particular ex was more pleasant when compared to "crazy emails" he had received from another ex.

Jake, for one, hasn't publicly stated if he was the inspiration for All Too Well though his sister has previously stated that fans had contacted her about the song and the famous scarf mentioned in the lyrics.
