Azusa's family grows with the introduction of two new characters!

With a bit of foreshadowing here and a sprinkle of new characters there, I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years is continuing to cast a charm spell on its audience. In the second episode of this cute isekaianime series, we start things off with a bit of foreshadowing. In an effort to protect the village that she's grown quite fond of, Azusa erects a magical barrier which pleases the village greatly as they have been debating for years on how to protect themselves. Gee, I wonder if that's going to come back to bite the witch in the butt later on.

In the second half of the episode, Azusa meets two slime spirits who claim that the witch is their mother. Unfortunately, one spirit is also hell-bent on revenge for all the slimes that she's killed over the last couple of centuries and is ready to use powerful magic to take her down.

I am still having such a wonderful time with this series. I thought that the introduction of the two new characters in this episode was cleverly done and the foreshadowing didn't feel too heavy. This series knows that it's cute, but dishes it out in just the perfect bite-sized amounts each week, and that's a talent that not every series can claim to have.
