The anime aired on Japanese channels, SUN, KBS Kyoto, BS NTV, Tokyo MX, and AT-X. Crunchyroll and Muse Communication acquired licenses to stream the series.
The anime was part of the Spring 2022 anime line-up and caught the attention of fantasy anime lovers, although some believed the adaptation fell short of the source material.

Is The Greatest Demon Lord Is Reborn as a Typical Nobody Based on a Manga or Light Novel?
Also known as The Greatest Demon Lord in the History Is Reincarnated as Villager A, The Greatest Demon Lord Is Reborn as a Typical Nobody is a Japanese light novel series that was first serialized online in August 2017.
The story was first published on Shosetsuka ni Naro, a user-generated novel publishing website. It moved to Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint and Yen Press acquired permission to release the light novel in North America.
Eventually, the novel was adapted into a manga which was serialized in Monthly Big Gangan from February 2019. Like the light novel, the manga is released in North America too after Comikey got the license to release the manga digitally in the said location.
It has been announced that the manga of The Greatest Demon Lord is Reborn as a Typical Nobody is ending in August 2022. As a result, the manga will not be a complete adaptation of the light novels, which are ongoing.
There is no news or rumors that the light novel story is ending soon, which is good news for those who have been following Varvatos or now, Ard’s story.
