Addressing the ongoing crossover theories surrounding Agatha All Along and VisionQuest, Ruaridh Mollica revealed that he filmed MCU scenes alongside soon-to-be co-star Joe Locke, officially confirming that Billy Maximoff and Tommy Shepherd will share the screen in the spinoff.
"We shot our MCU stuff before we did the play [together], which was amazing," Mollica told Entertainment Tonight, referring to their West End performance in Clarkston. Whether or not Mollica's statement is a tease or a spoiler remains to be seen, but it does confirm what fans long expected.
Ever since the magical twins vanished at the end of WandaVision, fans have waited years to see the reincarnated brothers cross paths with one another. With Locke's Billy Kaplan/Wiccan set to enter Tommy's orbit, the series is laying the foundational groundwork for a long-awaited Young Avengers assembly.
MCU Fans Spotted Joe Locke Lurking in VisionQuest Ahead of Confirmation
Clueless fans might be shocked to know that long before Mollica's official comments, MCU fans had already deduced Locke's lingering presence in the Disney+ series.
During London-based scenes in VisionQuest where Tommy was busy pickpocketing, viewers noticed a suspicious figure lurking in the background wearing a distinct coat and flat cap, similar to how Locke's side profile looked in Agatha All Along.
After Agatha All Along, where ghost-Agatha and Billy set off to track his long-lost brother, Billy took it into his own hands to conduct surveillance of Tommy in London, bridging the two Disney+ series in an instant.
Fans also picked up on real-world clues, noting that Mollica and Locke were cast alongside each other in London's West End shortly after production wrapped for the Marvel series, hinting at a deeper and longer working relationship that might just go beyond being twin siblings on the MCU set.
