Last year, there were rumors that Seth Rogen would have a cameo appearance in Supergirl, with some fans even speculating that he might be voicing Krypto the Superdog.

However, as it turns out, he did not lend his voice to Supergirl's canine companion. Rather, he voiced an alien character that operates a space bus that Kara rides in the earlier part of the movie.

It's a small voice role for the A-list star as the character is not a familiar figure that we've seen in the comics, and his appearance was brief. Not only that, he altered his voice slightly as he didn't use his signature natural voice to perform the role.

You might be wondering why an actor of Rogen's caliber was cast to voice such a minor character in a DCU movie. The most likely explanation is that he and director Craig Gillespie are good friends, as they've worked together in multiple projects in the past.

Rogen previously starred in Gillespie's movie Dumb Money, where he had a supporting role. They also worked together in Pam & Tommy, which Rogen co-starred in and executive-produced, while Gillespie executive-produced and directed the first three episodes.

Nevertheless, it is exciting that Rogen was recruited for a small voice role in Supergirl. Whether it will lead to him getting a bigger role in the DCU in the future, that remains to be seen.
