What Is Re:Monster About?
Re:Monster revolves around Tomokui Kanata, who dies from a stabbing incident in the real world and reincarnates as a lowly goblin in the fantasy world.
Now known as Gobrou, he is born with the absorption ability that allows him to eat almost anything to inherit the qualities and skills of whatever he consumes.
Eventually, Gobrou receives the blessing of the Grand God of Demise and Origin, and he evolves into a hobgoblin.

Is the Re:Monster Web Novel Over?
Re:Monster is originally a web novel written by Kogitsune Kanekiru on the user-generated novel publishing website, Shosetsuka ni Naro.
It ran from May 2011 to 2018 until it was acquired by the Japanese publishing company AlphaPolis.
It has over 300 chapters, chronicling Tomokui’s days as the goblin called Gobrou in the fantasy world.
Is the Re:Monster Light Novel Over?
Yes, the Re:Monster light novel is complete, similar to the web novel.
AlphaPolis published all nine main volumes of the series, in addition to a side story volume and an extra volume.
The light novel series ran from August 2012 to August 2017, with illustrations provided by Japanese artist Yamaada.
However, a sequel to the original series titled Re: Monster: Ankoku Tairiku-hen, written by Kanekiru and illustrated by Naji Yanagida, began serializing on July 2, 2018.
