Why is Prince Henry Evil in Netflix's Damsel Movie?
Prince Henry (played by Nick Robinson) is Elodie's (Millie Bobby Brown) betrothed in the new Netflix flick. But don't let his charming looks fool you — he's not the good guy in this story.
While Damsel is not the first story to depict a Prince following the steps of his evil King and Queen, Prince Henry takes a darker turn and is given a twisted villain role.
Damsel begins with Elodie being introduced to the seemingly perfect son of royalty as they stroll across the gardens to get to know each other better. That is until their wedding day arrived.
Apparently, there's a tradition where the Prince's wife must be sacrificed by throwing her over the bridge where the fire-breathing dragon resides.
Needless to say, this was not the honeymoon Elodie had been preparing her whole life for, and must now fight for her life to survive against the creature to save herself from this terrible fate.
While Elodie survives, she arrives at Prince Henry's third wedding just in time to crash the party. She breaks the news to the entire kingdom of their treacherous tradition.
Though Prince Henry attempted to explain his sympathy and regrets over his potential murder, Elodie points out that even her sister was put under their family's test.
Prince Henry may have been raised under his parents' tradition to respect the kingdom and put their traditions first over anything else, but he doesn't get any redemption arc in this movie.

What is the Damsel Movie About? Who Becomes the Hero?
It's an interesting take to see how the Princess, commonly referred to as the damsel in common fairytales, could save herself when her Prince isn't there to take the role in her life.
From the trailer alone, Millie Bobby Brown's damsel was essentially the key behind getting married to Nick Robinson's Prince Henry.
As it turns out, the princess happens to be entangled in his fate by becoming the fire-breathing dragon's sacrifice.
Millie Bobby Brown's newest flick, Damsel, starts streaming on Netflix starting March 8.
