However, there is a short novel titled Yuri Kago no Hoshi by Ichiro Okouchi that acts as a connection between Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury PROLOGUE and Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury.
The novel is also the inspiration for the lyrics of The Blessing by YOASOBI.
Yuri Kago no Hoshi is narrated from the perspective of Suletta Mercury’s mobile suit named XVX-016 Gundam Aerial.

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury – A Gundam Series With a Female Protagonist
The first new Gundam anime in seven years premiered on October 2, 2022, introducing the female titular character – Suletta Mercury.
The anime opens with Suletta leaving her native planet of Mercury and coming to the Asticassia School of Technology at her mother’s insistence.
In this school, which is run by a powerful organization called the Benerit Group, duels are organized to settle scores between two parties.
Moreover, the top-ranking fighter will become Miorine Rembran’s fiancé. It is the prize announced by Miorine’s father.
Meanwhile, Miorine has plans to escape to planet Earth, and she is constantly trying to find ways to get out of the school and away from her father.
Guel Jeturk, who is considered the best pilot in the school, is Miorine’s fiancé and wants her to live with him. However, Suletta objects and ends up challenging Guel to a duel.
Later, Suletta manages to destroy Guel and his ego by defeating him in the duel. After beating the best pilot, Suletta becomes the new champion and Miorine’s fiancé.
Things are about to get intense as all eyes are on Suletta, the lone girl from Mercury.
