Is Kirsten Dunst in Spider-Man: No Way Home? Here's What She Had To Say

For several months, there have been rumors and speculations about Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield possibly appearing in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Even though recent leaks suggest that it is likely to be true, neither Sony nor Marvel has made any confirmation. Although it has been confirmed that the villains from the past Spider-Man films will be making an appearance.

While everyone is speculating if the former Spider-Men will be appearing in the film, there are some fans who are also wondering if their respective love interests will also appear. After all, if the former Spider-Men and the villains will be appearing, why not Kirsten Dunst's Mary Jane Watson or Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy as well? Now, we have an answer for one of them.

Per The Direct, during an interview with Total Film, Dunst was asked if she would make an appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home. She answered, "I'm not in that movie, no [laughs]. I know there's rumors, right?... No, I'm the only one [not in it]. 'Can't put an old girl in there!"

It seems that Dunst is denying that she is going to be in the film. But of course, if she does end up appearing in the film even in a cameo, she's not going to confirm her appearance until the release of the film. We will find out soon enough if she is telling the truth in the interview or not.

Fans would definitely love to see Dunst reprise her role as Mary Jane Watson if Maguire does appear in the film, even in just a cameo appearance. She was one of the main cast members of Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy and a huge part of the story. We could see what's she up to now and perhaps she is now Peter Parker's wife. It would be great to see a glimpse of that, but we shall see if it does happen.

The anticipation for No Way Home is insurmountable as it is expected to venture into the multiverse and feature characters from the past Spider-Man films. A poster was recently released. A second trailer is expected to drop soon.
